Welcome to The King’s Christian School!
The King's Christian School is a Pre-K thru 12, non-denominational, college preparatory school. TKCS provides local and international families with a distinct and diverse school experience. Dedicated Christian faculty and leadership mentor and empower students with Bible-based values and instruction. As a community we strive to create a stress-free, accepting social atmosphere which is optimal for learning. Challenging academics, a diverse student population, and real-world service and learning experiences prepare our students to be leaders in an ever-changing world.
Congratulations TKCS Concert Choirs!
The TKCS High School Concert Choir has been designated Best of Camden County 2013 in the choral division of the Camden County Arts 4 Teens Festival. This competition includes all public, private, and charter high schools in Camden County that wish to compete. The Best of Camden County award recognizes outstanding talent and strong command of skill. The High School Concert Choir performed two selections, Moses Now Your People Are Free! and When You Believe.
The TKCS Middle School Choir performed at the High Note Festival at Dorney Park and received the top rating of Superior! Choirs are judged on their tone, diction, technique, interpretation, and intonation. Superior is the highest rating a choir can receive, and it is the first time TKCS has been so recognized. The Middle School choir performed Chiri Biri Bim and Get On Board.
Both choirs will perform their distinguished selections at the Spring Concert on Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Congratulations to our students and to their director, Mrs. Jamie McHale!

What's New
Hello New York!
Last month, Mrs. Anderson’s 3rd grade collaborated with a 3rd grade in rural Verona, New York on a lesson about animals in China and South America. The two groups sat together and played “guess my animal,” with each class trading clues about animals they had researched and then trying to guess the identity of those animals using Grolier’s Online Encyclopedia. It was a fun lesson that allowed these 3rd graders to make new friends while they developed critical thinking, research, and technology skills—and neither class had to leave home.
Mrs. Anderson’s class was able to do this lesson using Skype in the Classroom, a Web 2.0 application that can connect classrooms around the world. The two 3rd grade classes were able to see each other and chat together through large display monitors connected to a laptop.
Mrs. Anderson’s students are Skype pioneers at TKCS, and they are anxious to participate in more Skype lessons in the future—maybe in Mexico or South Korea!
