General Requirements
Parent(s) or guardian(s) must be born again Christians who are in agreement with the school's Doctrinal Statement, which reflects a Protestant, evangelical tradition. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must desire a Christian education for their child(ren), be in agreement with the school's educational program, and be willing to assume the financial responsibilities involved. Application will be considered in certain situations where only one parent/guardian is a born again Christian and that parent/guardian has primary responsibility for the spiritual and educational development of the child(ren).
The King's Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities available to students at the school. The King's Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other school-administered programs.

Parent/Guardian Interview
The Admissions Director will interview parent(s)/guardian(s) applying for admission to the school to discuss the aims of the school and to evaluate the spiritual requirements of the parent(s)/guardian(s). The evaluation involves the parent(s)/guardian(s) being able to provide testimony to the fact that they:
- came to the realization they were sinners without hope,
- believe God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay their debt for sin,
- believe God raised His Son from the dead,
- personally received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior,
- believe it is by God's grace they were saved through faith and not by anything they do; salvation is a gift of God - not by works,
- have full assurance of salvation and will live with Him eternally, and
- currently are striving to please God in all that they do.
All families are to be in active fellowship with a Bible-believing church. A Pastor's Confidential Recommendation Form must be submitted as part of the application process.
Prospective students in grades K-12 may be given an entrance test to determine grade placement and to determine if the prospective student fits the educational capabilities of the school. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must submit student's most recent report card and standardized testing results for review prior to entrance testing. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must provide copies of child study reports, psychological testing reports, or similar documents, if applicable. Transfer students may be denied admission, or required to withdraw, if the student records are not forwarded from the previous school for any reason.
Approval for admission is granted by the Administration. A student may be refused admission for any reason inconsistent with the school's ability to handle. Acceptance or rejection of applicants will be by written notification.
Priorities for acceptance are established as follows:
Priority I: Current school families, including new employees
a. enrolling all eligible children
b. enrolling less than all eligible children
Priority II: New families and former school families
a. transferring from another Christian school
b. enrolling in order of receipt of a completed application and registration fee.
The school reserves the right to dismiss any student who does not comply with the rules and regulations of the school. The school reserves the right to dismiss any family that does not fulfill its obligations as agreed.
Kindergarten/First Grade Requirements
Prospective kindergarten students must be five years old, and first graders must be six years old, by October 15 of the school year. Immunization records and a birth certificate must accompany the kindergarten application.

Special Standards Of Conduct
The privilege of enrollment as a student in The King's Christian School carries with it some unique and demanding responsibilities. As a Christian school, we seek to place God and His Word at the center of all we do and to relate Jesus Christ to our studies, our activities, and our personal lives. By applying for admission and enrolling in the Junior/Senior High School, each student agrees, with God's help, to the following standards of conduct. All students in grades 6-12 are required each year to affirm in writing their commitment to these standards.
- To respect and obey teachers
- To willingly accept and abide by school rules
- To refrain from the use or possession of all alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, and drugs unless prescribed by a
physician for medical purposes
- To treat other students with respect and to apply the "golden rule" in relationship with them
- To maintain a pure sexual life and to avoid inappropriate physical contact
- To guard language and refrain from using obscene or profane words, lying, gossiping, or speaking unkindly to others
- To dress in accordance with the School Dress Code, reflecting the values of modesty and neatness
- To help take care of school property. This includes things such as: not littering, not defacing walls or bulletin
boards, not writing in textbooks or on desks, etc.
- To be conscientious in studies, including homework and other assignments
Prospective students in grades 6-12 must complete a separate student application in addition to the family application. The high school student in grades 9-12 must give a clear statement of a profession of faith in Christ and a clear indication of the desire to be a student at the school. The Principal will schedule an interview with the student's parent(s)/guardian(s) for cases where the student does not desire to continue at The King's Christian School.
