November 2010

Can you believe we are almost 25% of the way through this school year.  We trust that your child is having a positive experience.  Just a reminder, all important information is in Knightly Knews which is issued to your email on Tuesday and Friday nights.  Please be sure to read it.

We have much to share with you so fasten you seat belt and here we go……………………………….

PLEASE HELP US!!!!
We have had several near misses in our front parking lot already this year.  We are particularly concerned with the safety of our children. Therefore, beginning on Monday, November 1, 2010 there will be NO dropping off or picking up of students in the front of the building from 7:30 to 8:15 AM and 2:30 to 3:15 PM.  All dropping off and picking up during these times is to be outback.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter – remember, SAFETY FIRST!!!  (By the way, this information appeared on Knightly Knews last week)

Just a reminder that the Middle School Retreat will take place on November 1st.  Students will go to Camp Ha-Lu-Wa-Sa for the day.   The High School Retreat will take place on November 15 and 16th.  Students will stay overnight at Harvey Cedars.  More information on this will also follow. Information has already gone home about both retreats.

2.  Athletics
Congratulations to our varsity boys soccer team for making it to the TSCAC playoffs.  The first game is Tuesday, November 2nd.  Come out and support our team!!

The Fall Sports Recognition Assembly is on November 19th at 10:16 to 11:06 AM.  Come and celebrate our teams with us.

It is time for winter sports (brrrrrr)!!  Basketball practice begins on Monday, November 8th and is being kicked off with a pasta dinner right after practice (around 6 or 6:30PM) on November 8th  in the gym.

5.  Fun Information
November 22 is the Thanksgiving feast for students.  Stay tuned for info on this in Knightly Knews and flyers coming home from the PTF.

The school store is back!!  It will re-open on grandparent day, December 3rd.  You will be able to shop in the store as well as in the online store!!  There are some great ideas for Christmas presents.

7.  Dress Code – WE CONTINUE TO NEED YOUR HELP
The dress code with regards to men’s and women’s pants has NOT changed.  They only thing that has changed is where you can buy them.  We are seeing way too many students with black jeans, corduroy pants and pants that are too tight.  PLEASE HELP US.            Talk with your child, check them when they walk out the door.  All pants must be kaki uniform style in blue, black or tan.  NO OTHER pants are acceptable.  No cargo pants.  Thank you for your help.
